Nestled in one of Kingsbridge's most breathtaking locations, The Quillet offers panoramic serene estuary views leading up to Salcombe. Impeccably furnished and equipped to the highest standards, ideal for both families and groups of friends. The south facing residence is bathed in natural light throughout the year and benefits include a hot tub. Just a 5-minute stroll from the town centre and Crabshell Bar, with parking and a delightful garden completing the picture-perfect setting. The Quillet warmly embraces guests from the moment they cross the threshold, offering an array of desirable features for those seeking a spacious, luxurious, and centrally located yet private retreat. The Lower Ground Floor presents a self-contained apartment comprising a sumptuous Master Bedroom adorned with premium White Company towels, Elemis toiletries, a well-appointed Family Bathroom, a cosy Lounge with a convertible sofa bed, a Dining room for four, and a convenient utility room. Underfloor heating and Wi-Fi throughout ensure comfort and connectivity. The apartment's private entrance and sliding doors opening onto the garden terrace afford breathtaking rural and water views. Additionally, guests can enjoy the well-equipped Gym, complete with entertainment options. The main house exudes an airy, stylish ambiance, furnished to the highest standards with thoughtful extras to ensure an indulgent stay. The open-plan kitchen/dining area is a highlight, featuring Fisher & Paykel appliances, including a fridge/freezer with an ice machine, a hot water tap, and a Nespresso coffee machine. A spacious dining table seating ten, with breakfast island with seating for two, caters to group gatherings. The ground floor boasts comfortable sleeping quarters, a lounge with a wood burner, and a well-equipped kitchen/dining room, boot room and w/c. Upstairs, further accommodation includes two King Bedrooms, and a Family Bathroom. Outside, the ample outdoor space beckons with a large lawn, a dining area for twelve, sun loungers, a fire pit seating area overlooking the water, a decked area with a sunken hot tub, and a bar and fire pit area. Parking is available for four cars, with potential for more for smaller vehicles. The Quillet welcomes guests with open arms the moment they step over the threshhold. This property ticks so many boxes, if guests are looking for a large property, luxurious with a central location but still very private. The Lower Ground Floor has a self contained apartment containing: *A Master Bedroom - King sized bed dressed with gorgeous white company bedding, throws and cushions, Smart TV, Dressing table and stool, wardrobe, drawers and a hairdryer. *Family bathroom - Shower, Toilet, Basin, Towels and Elemis toiletries. * Lounge - The sofa can be turned into a sofa bed if required. Smart TV. * Dining room - Table and Bench seating for 4 *utility room - Washing Machine, Tumble Dryer, Iron, Ironing Board There is underfloor heating throughout the apartment and WIFI The door can be locked or left open to join the main house. There are a flight of stairs that takes you into the main kitchen. With a private entrance down the side of the house and beautiful sliding doors out onto the garden terrace where guests will be greeted with stunning rural and water views. The Gym is located in the lower ground floor, with hand weights and resistance bands. The main house is very airy, bright and stylishly decorated to offer guests a feel of indulgence and luxury. Equipped to a very high standard and a few extras, making sure no guests are wanting for anything! The open plan kitchen/ dining room is one the most fabulous places in the property with sliding doors out onto the veranda with a table and chair set to soak up the moving views of the action on the water. The Fisher & Paykel fridge/ freezer is a great size and added bonus of the ice machine. The hot water tap is perfect to brew a very quick cup of tea and Nespresso coffee machine is also provided. There is also a wine chiller and Microwave combi oven. This gives you an outline of the quality appliances used throughout the property. The dining table seats 10 with 2 bar stools that sit at the central island. On the lower ground floor there is also a dining table that sits 4. The ground floor has: 1 x King Bedroom with Ensuite shower room 1 x Master Bedroom with superking bed, 2 x Armchairs, Chest table, Ensuite with Bath, Shower, Toilet and Basin 1 x Cloakroom - Toilet and Basin 1 x Bootroom - Storage for Coats and Boots 1 x Lounge - Large Corner Sofa, 1 x 2 person sofa, Wood Burner, 1 x Kitchen/ Dining Room - Central Island, 2 x Bar swivel stools, Table with bench seating for 10, Sliding doors to veranda, Double size oven and Hobs, Large Fridge/Freezer with ice machine, Combi microwave oven, Hot water tap, Nespresso coffee machine, Dishwasher, serving dishes, Baking equipment and all of the other essentials that a kitchen would require. The property will be totally private and solely for guests to use. The Coastal Holidays team provides a concierge service aimed at ensuring your stay runs seamlessly, with the goal of making your holiday memorable. The Quillet is situated in a beautiful part of the town. South westerly facing, so always bright and airy. As you drive along the promenade, pass the shops, the town square and park;we are located only a short distance up the hill. On arrival you will go down drive (not realising what is at the end) then a nice surprise will be waiting when you open the door of The Quillet, stand out on the balcony and admire the views. You can see The Crabshell bar/restaurant from your veranda, which is only a few minutes walk away. This will be your local! With its water front location it attracts all the boats from Salcombe on high tide, for an oven fired fresh baked pizza or they offer something a little more substantial from the restaurant menu on the first floor. If the sun is out then this little venue is the place to be! Booking is a must.The other top places to dine out is Wild Artichokes and award winning Maha bharat. Again booking is a must and please look at their website as its not your usual dining experience, a real hidden gem for Kingsbridge. Kingsbridge is a traditional market town, only recently mentioned in The Times magazine as ‘ Going places, Kingsbridge’. We have an adorable cinema located in the town hall, a museum, Quayside Leisure Centre for multiple sports activities and Olympic size pool, Beautiful high street with a variety of independent retailers; larger chains such as Costa, Boots, Tesco, WH Smith and Morrison’s. The area is known as an area of outstanding natural beauty with so many beaches and costal walks you are spoilt for Choice, with the bonus of an abundance of fantastic shops, restaurants and pubs. Towns to visit: Salcombe 7 miles Dartmouth 14 miles Totnes 12 Miles Plymouth 21 Miles Torquay 21 Miles Beaches - all of the beaches have the most stunning coastal walks, perfect for taking in the spectacular scenery and perfect for dog walks: South Milton Sands 5 Miles Torcross 7 Miles Thurlestone 5 Miles Bantham 5 Miles Hope Cove 6 Miles Soar Mill Cove 7 Miles North sands, Salcombe 7 Miles South Sands, Salcombe 8 Miles Mill bay, East Portlemouth, 14 Miles Blackpool Sands 11 Miles We have a 'Bible' of local information to help you make the most of your stay. Kingsbridge has Bus routes and taxis but I would highly recommend a car. You can walk into Kingsbridge but Salcombe, Hope Cove, Bantham and multiple other rural areas will require a car to get there. The property next door, which is Paddlers View is totally detached. This property is also rented out and sleeps 4 people. It can be rented together with this property if more space is required. It also has a hot tub and and is equally as stunning. Please look at the other listing for more details. If you do require this please email me and I might be able to offer a discount. If the hot tub requires extra maintenance the guest will be charged. If the rules are followed such as: 1. no glass or food in the hot tub, 2. showering before you enter 3. do not use it if you are wearing fake tan then there will be no need to charge the guest. If the filter is blocked or the water changes colour this will indicate to us that a rule has been broken and you will be charged accordingly. Pet lovers are welcome, but please contact us before booking to provide details about your furry friend's breed. A modest fee of £30 per visit for pets applies, which we will request after booking. To enhance your stay, we offer several amenities, including a Nespresso coffee machine, hairdryers, branded Elemis toiletries, and a starter basket of wood with kindling for the wood burner. Should you require additional services, please feel free to contact us for inquiries and pricing.
